HOLY WEEK PASSPORT

Aldersgate Children and Families have been invited this year to travel with Jesus and his friends for Holy Week. Travelers need to carry a passport when they travel to exciting places and Aldersgate Children and Families have been provided a booklet as a passport for Holy Week.

All Aldersgate Members are encouraged to participate in the Holy Week Passport readings as we all Journey through Holy Week and Journey towards Jerusalem.

Every day in Holy Week, you are invited to read the Bible passage, either using your own Bible, a translation found on www.biblegateway.com or using the included passage from New Revised Standard Version Bible, copyright © 1989 the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. Used by permission. All rights reserved.

After you have read the passage each day explore the questions on each page, and pray the Lord's Prayer*. Aldersgate Children and Families are also invited to choose to go on an extra excursion each day and take on the Lego or drawing challenge and to mark their visit to that day’s scripture story by placing a sticker on the appropriate page of their Holy Week Passport.

All Aldersgate Members can reflect further in the “A Little More” section.

*The Lord’s Prayer (Ecumenical Version)

Our Father, in heaven, hallowed be thy name; your Kingdom come; your will be done; on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
